The Accelerate car

We have just replaced our car and now use a NISSAN NOTE.

This is a truly modern car, very smooth, comfortable and easy to drive.

The 1.5 turbo diesel engine provides an easy to drive, yet smooth and responsive vehicle suitable for any ability of learner and complies with all current legislation for use as a driving test car.

The NOTE is insured for all learner drivers who hold a current Provisional Driving licence when accompanied by Brian.

It has an excellent turning circle and good power steering, making it ideal for the driving test manoeuvres.

The diesel engine makes it very easy to control and manage.

The internal controls are easy to use and very accessible.

• A good short gear lever gives a positive, smooth gear change.
• Good sized pedals make for ease of use.
• All round vision is provided by large windows, high seats, lots of glass and very large clear mirrors.
• Large electrically operated mirrors
• Power steering - very smooth and responsive
• Air conditioning (easy to keep ALL windows mist free)
• Finger tip controls for lights and windscreen wipers

It is possible to hire the car for your driving test. However, I must be satisfied that you are a good, safe, competent  driver, who has reached the necessary standard to attempt the state driving test.

• You will be required to be able to drive to test standard
• You must complete a minimum of 5 lessons in the car. This is to ensure you are fully at ease with this car and are able to perform all manoeuvres at test standard. If you cannot do the above - you would be as well NOT taking the test.
• You must know the car well enough to be able to answer the 'Technical Check' questions and to operate the secondary controls and answer questions about the secondary controls correctly.
